Barack Obama’s daughter Malia stuns at Deauville Film Festival with directorial debut of "The Heart"

The daughter of Barack and Michelle Obama expressed excitement about her red carpet appearance.

Malia Obama attended the 50th annual Deauville American Film Festival to promote her directorial debut, the short film “The Heart.”

The former first daughter looked stunning in a Vivienne Westwood ensemble as she graced the red carpet at the event held in Deauville, France, on Friday.

She wore a plaid off-the-shoulder corset top in red, white, and gray, paired with a high-low blue-and-white skirt.

Completing her look, Obama wore knee-high leather boots and styled her brown hair down.

“It’s cool,” she commented about her outfit in a video shared by Pop Base. “I don’t know as much about fashion, but I’m happy to be wearing it.”

She also praised Westwood, calling her a “queen” for the chic outfit.

The daughter of Barack and Michelle Obama expressed excitement about her red carpet appearance, telling reporters, “I’m so excited."

“I’ve never done anything like this, so [I’m] like a little bit terrified but mostly just excited.”

Earlier this year, her film made its debut at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah.

At that event, Malia made her red carpet debut, wearing a gray coat over a pinstriped button-down, black pants, a gray scarf, and burgundy boots.

Her short film centers around a man grieving his mother's death while honoring her final request.
