Sandra Oh wins first Emmy award for Hulu's 'Quiz Lady'

Sandra Oh finally wins her first Emmy after 14 nominations for her role in Hulu's 'Quiz Lady'.

Sandra Oh, the acclaimed actress known for her roles in "Grey's Anatomy" and "Killing Eve," has finally won her first Emmy Award. After 14 nominations, she was recognized for her work as a producer on the Hulu film "Quiz Lady" at the Creative Arts Emmys.

Unfortunately, Oh was unable to attend the ceremony due to being in Canada. However, her co-stars and producers, Awkwafina and Jen D'Angelo, were surprised and thrilled to hear about her win.

"Quiz Lady" tells the story of two estranged sisters who team up to help their mother with her gambling debts.

 The film also features Will Ferrell, Holland Taylor, and Jason Schwartzman.   

The movie's writer/producer, Jen D'Angelo, shared her excitement about the win, recalling the film's journey through the challenges of the pandemic and strikes. This Emmy win is a well-deserved recognition for Sandra Oh's talent and dedication to the industry.
