A flight en route from Sharjah to Dhaka, G-9512, was forced to make an emergency landing in Karachi after a 42-year-old passenger tragically passed away mid-flight.

The incident occurred as the aircraft was crossing Indian airspace.

According to airport sources, the passenger’s health deteriorated suddenly while still in Indian airspace, prompting the aircraft's captain to request an urgent landing from Karachi Air Traffic Control (ATC).

Following ATC's approval, G-9512 safely touched down at Karachi Airport.

Upon arrival, a medical team from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) examined the passenger and confirmed that he had passed away.

The aircraft remained grounded for approximately two hours while the necessary procedures were carried out.

G-9512 departed Karachi at 6:15 AM local time, with the deceased passenger’s body still onboard.

The CAA spokesperson confirmed that the pilot sought emergency landing clearance due to the medical emergency. After completing the formalities, the body was handed over to the airline for onward transportation.
