Jonathan Owens, husband of gymnast Simone Biles, was humorously referred to as “Mr. Biles” by an NFL commentator after scoring a touchdown during the Chicago Bears’ game against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. The commentator, in a video posted on Instagram, said, “Mr. Biles getting in there,” as Owens ran to the end zone, later adding, “Well done by him.”

The playful remark sparked amusement among fans. One commented, “Wait did they say Mr. Biles 😂,” while another added, “That’s a super valid acceptable title lol good play Owens 👏.” Social media was quickly filled with jokes about the comment, with one fan humorously renaming the athlete “Jonathan Biles.”

Biles, a 27-year-old 11-time Olympian, showed her excitement by posting on her Instagram Story, celebrating Owens’ touchdown with the message, “LFG!!! … TOUCHDOWN FOR HUBBY.”

Owens, 29, made his debut with the Bears after playing the 2023 season with the Green Bay Packers. The Bears won the game 17-24, marking their first victory of the 2023-2024 season.

The couple, who tied the knot in April 2023, are known for supporting each other’s careers. Owens was in attendance when Biles took home three medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Both have shared that while they “most definitely” want children, they are focused on their careers for now.
