Kendrick Lamar will headline the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show, marking his second performance

Kendrick Lamar has been confirmed as the headliner for the 2025 Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show, as announced by Roc Nation, Apple Music, and the NFL. The event is scheduled for February 9, 2025, at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, airing on Fox. This marks Lamar’s second Super Bowl appearance following his 2022 performance alongside Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Eminem, and 50 Cent.

In a statement about the announcement, Lamar said, "Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date, and I’ll be there to remind the world why." Roc Nation founder Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter praised Lamar, calling him "a once-in-a-generation artist" whose work "transcends music" and "defines and influences culture globally."

Lamar’s performance will be creatively directed by his pgLang company, responsible for his 2022-2023 "Big Steppers" tour. The halftime show will be produced by DPS in collaboration with Roc Nation, with Jesse Collins as executive producer and Hamish Hamilton as director.

Apple’s Vice President Oliver Schusser expressed excitement, stating, "Apple is thrilled to bring this show, starring the incomparable Kendrick Lamar, to fans worldwide." Seth Dudowsky, the NFL's Head of Music, added, "Kendrick has proven his unique ability to craft moments that redefine and shake the foundation of hip-hop."
