Dave Bautista open to Guardians of the Galaxy reunion in the DC Universe

Dave Bautista hopes to reunite with Guardians of the Galaxy cast in the DC Universe

Dave Bautista, known for his portrayal of Drax in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, has expressed his openness to reuniting with his former co-stars in the DC Universe. In an interview with ComicBook while promoting his new film The Killer's Game, Bautista shared his enthusiasm for working with James Gunn, now co-head of DC Studios. "I hope so, yeah," Bautista said when asked about the possibility of collaborating with his Guardians castmates outside the Marvel Cinematic Universe. "I would like to work with Chris [Pratt] and Zoe [Saldaña] outside of the Marvel Universe, as well."

Bautista also discussed the potential for joining the DC Universe, stating, "I love James, and I would do anything to work with him. It just has to be the right part, but I’m very open to it." While he has not had any official discussions about a role in the DCU, fans have speculated about Bautista playing characters like Bane or Hugo Strange.

Reflecting on his relationship with Gunn, Bautista added, "We have a camaraderie that's priceless. To work with him again? I’d do it for free."

Bautista’s film The Killer’s Game, which also stars Pom Klementieff (who played Mantis in Guardians of the Galaxy), is set to hit theaters on September 13th.
