Actress Valorie Curry, known for her role as Firecracker in The Boys, recently addressed an inappropriate fan interaction at Comic Con Northern Ireland. In an Instagram story, Curry called for setting boundaries with fans after a negative experience at the event. She mentioned that while most fans were respectful, an encounter with a fan who asked her to replicate actions from her character on the show crossed the line.

"We do need to talk about boundaries and what is appropriate in terms of behavior," Curry said. She added, "I don’t care if you’re in costume or in character. It’s not okay and it’s not funny to demand those things from me in person." Curry explained that despite her refusal, the fan and his friend persisted, which led to their frustration. "I made it pretty clear that it wasn’t okay, and that only seemed to make this person and their friend angry," she added.

Curry’s character Firecracker in The Boys is known for extreme behavior and actions, which contributed to the shock value of the show. However, Curry emphasized that her performance is a part of her acting, and it is important to separate the character from the person portraying it.

Curry's message on social media aimed to highlight the need for fans to understand boundaries, particularly during fan conventions. The actress concluded by expressing her hope that her statement would raise awareness about respectful behavior in such settings.
