No compromise on Pakistan's integrity: Fazl

Khatam-e-Nabuwat conference passes resolution at Minar-e-Pakistan

LAHORE:

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has firmly declared that Israel can never be accepted as a legitimate state, asserting that there will be no compromise on the country's integrity.

Addressing the Khatam-e-Nabuwat Conference at Minar-e-Pakistan in Lahore, Fazl pointed out the symbolic significance of the venue, recalling that it was here a resolution was once passed to establish Pakistan.

"Today, we pass a resolution at this very place to safeguard Pakistan," he asserted and added that Pakistanis were well-versed in upholding the seal of prophethood.

He lauded Hamas for resisting the Israeli aggression despite some voices pushing for Tel Aviv's acceptance. He praised the fighters for their unyielding resistance.

Fazl pointed out that while Hamas fighters have stood firm against Israel, with over 50,000 Palestinians having been martyred, the USA's claims of being a human rights champion ring hollow.

Fazl urged both the government and establishment to bow to the will of those gathered at Minar-e-Pakistan, underscoring that they must align with public sentiment.

He said that the nation was eagerly awaiting the Supreme Court's detailed verdict, which he anticipated would mirror the earlier short order. "Let's not repeat past errors by disregarding the voices of religious scholars," he cautioned.

The JUI-F chief labelled the gathering as a symbol of national solidarity, asserting that the assembly has resolved to stand firm on the nation's integrity.

"This is our land, and Islamic values will reign supreme," he declared. Fazl also slammed the results of the 2018 and 2024 elections, attributing them to rigging and dismissing the credibility of the establishment and assemblies formed under such conditions.

He highlighted that religious seminaries were being pressurised at the behest of the international establishment, adding, "Our curriculum is on your radar."

He warned, "We have not put you on our target. The day we decide to battle against you, you will be forced to leave the country."

In an obvious reference to the military establishment, Fazl said, "You are unable to protect the country. Balochistan and K-P have slipped out of your hands."

He noted that there was no writ of the government in K-P, with militants strengthening their power. "You are bent on banning the religious seminaries," he added.

Fazl pointed out that the entire nation supports an interest-free economy and that the entire Muslim community is unanimous in its belief in "Khatam-e-Nabuwat".
