Woman, two sons die of food poisoning

A woman and her two young children, residents of Gharibwal in Pindigheb, tragically died after consuming suspected poisonous food a local eatery.

The police have registered a case against the food shop in question.

Muhammad Ikram, a resident of Gharibwal, lodged an FIR at Pindigheb police station stating that two days ago, he had eaten food along with his family at Multan Food in Zafar Chowk.

Later that night, his wife and two children—five-month-old Abdul Samad Wali and five-year-old Abdul Ahad Mustafa—became severely ill.

Despite being rushed to the hospital, the infant Abdul Samad Wali passed away while undergoing treatment. Young Abdul Ahad Mustafa, who was in critical condition, was referred to Rawalpindi, where he also died.

The children's mother, a government schoolteacher, was also placed on a ventilator in a private hospital in Rawalpindi after her lungs failed. She too passed away, leaving the family devastated.
