Jennifer Lopez made a stunning appearance at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) for the premiere of Unstoppable, the sports drama she produced alongside her estranged husband, Ben Affleck. The 55-year-old actress and singer dazzled in a silver gown with cutouts and sky-high slits as she walked the red carpet without Affleck, 53, who was notably absent.
Lopez and Affleck, who filed for divorce on August 20, 2024, co-produced the movie, which tells the true story of Anthony Robles, a wrestler born with one leg who defied the odds to win the 2011 college wrestling national championship. Lopez plays a supporting role as Robles’ mother in the film. While Affleck was absent, his long-time friend and co-producer Matt Damon attended, accompanied by his wife, Luciana Barroson.
Rumors of Affleck’s absence began circulating after the couple’s split, with Lopez submitting her divorce petition two years after their Georgia wedding celebration. Despite the ongoing separation, Lopez reportedly remains committed to supporting Unstoppable, which means “a lot to her,” according to a source.
Affleck has previously expressed his joy at working with Lopez on the film, telling CBS Sunday Morning in 2023, “What a joy to do something with her...go to work with your wife, go to work with your best friend.” The film is directed by William Goldenberg and is set to hit theaters in December 2024
