Karachi violence: Three more killed, Rangers and police continue search operations

Dozens of suspects arrested, several weapons seized during operations in various areas.

KARACHI:
Three people were killed in separate incidents of violence in Karachi on Saturday, reported Express 24/7.

Rangers and police, on the other hand, are continuing with their crackdown against target killers and have arrested several suspects.

They arrested dozens of suspects during a joint targeted operation after three people lost their lives in recent incidents of killings in the city.

A 26-year-old was shot dead in Malir model colony and his body was recovered from the ICI bridge in the Baghdadi area.

In a separate shooting incident, a 27-year old man was killed in the frontier colony.

Meanwhile, the Rangers have conducted a targeted operation in Kahkashan society and have also seized several weapons.

Earlier, over a 100 suspects were detained during various operations by security forces on Thursday.

In the ongoing political efforts to curb the violence, the government is working on a plan to draw a clear line between ‘violent and non-violent forces’ to restore peace in Karachi and Balochistan.

The Supreme Court has also been hearing a suo motu case on violence that has left over 400 people dead in three months. During the hearing of the case, the Sindh police chief recently confessed that 30 per cent of the police force sympathises with the criminals spreading violence in the city.
