Anti-dengue micro plan enforced
Rawalpindi Deputy Commissioner Hassan Waqar Cheema has prepared a new anti-dengue micro plan on an emergency basis due to the alarming increase in the number of dengue patients across the district.
The plan was also approved for quick implementation on a war footing besides implementing a dengue emergency across the district.
In the new anti-dengue micro plan, Rawalpindi has been divided into four zones, six sectors and 35 cluster centres. Separate in-charges have been appointed for each zone, sector and cluster. Heads of all in-charge institutions have been given responsibilities. All clusters will consist of four union councils and four cantonment wards in the cantonment area, while the areas from which more dengue patients are exposed have also been designated as hotspots and special sensitive cluster centres.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Ramisha Javed will be in charge of Rawal Town Zone, Hakim Khan will be in charge of two sectors, AC City Dr Aamir Shaikh has been appointed DHO, while Rafaqat Gondal has been appointed MO Infrastructure.
Dr Zunairah Aftab will be in charge of Potohar Town Zone, Chief Officer District Council Kamran Khan and DM Potohar Dr Ehsan Ghani will be sector in- charges. Zone in-charge of Cantt and Suburban areas will be ADC Revenue Nabeel Riaz, while the sector in-charge will be AC Cantt Almas Saqib. Hasan Tariq has been appointed as the zone in-charge of suburban areas, while the sector in-charges will be Dr Naveed Akhtar and Erum Chaudhary.
The DC has also ordered to start the implementation of the new plan immediately. All Assistant Commissioners (ACs) and Deputy District Health Officers (DDHOs) will also be in-charge supervisors as per post. Cluster in-charges will meet workers daily before dengue checking in UCs, Cantt wards and areas, get reports daily in the evening and share them with the sector and zone in-charges.
