The rap community was hit with a wave of grief following the unexpected death of Rich Homie Quan, who passed away at the age of 33 on Thursday, September 5.
Fellow artists and collaborators have quickly taken to social media to express their sorrow and share memories of the Atlanta rapper.
Jacquees, a longtime collaborator and friend, was among the first to honor Quan's memory, tweeting, "Rest in Peace my brother Rich Homie Quan. I love you for Life. #Richgang."
He also shared animage of the two together, captioned simply with, "Legend."
Boosie BadAzz reflected on their close relationship and shared moments, expressing his shock and remembrance in a series of heartfelt tweets: "Just talked to you bra #tipquan never go forget yo smile n the way talked n of course yo music," and "We got some good ass memories together n that go always bring a smile to my face #restupquan we was cooking up some sh– too."
The engineering mind behind many of Quan's hits, Alex Tumay, also paid tribute by noting Quan's kindness and artistry, tweeting, "One of the nicest people I ever worked with and a true artist. Absolutely crushing news. RIP."
Further tributes came from artists like Playboi Carti and Migos' Quavo, who both shared visuals and messages on their Instagram Stories.
Quavo's message was particularly touching: "May God be with us, never saw this being apart of our journey," alongside an image reflecting on their early days together.
