PESHAWAR:

A decision has been made in Peshawar to take strict action against those renting out homes or providing shelter to professional beggars, while orders have also been issued to act against drug addicts.

Non-governmental organisations (NGOs) registered with Social Welfare, but not actively engaged in any work, will also have their registration canceled.

The meeting, chaired by DEDIC Chairman and MPA Sher Ali Afridi, focused on social welfare issues. District Social Officer Noor Muhammad Khan and other officials were present.
