LAHORE:

Former Chief Justice of Pakistan, Saqib Nisar, arrived in Lahore last night, dismissing recent allegations against him as "baseless".

Nisar landed at Lahore airport, where he briefly addressed the media, Express News reported.

"I have returned to Pakistan. The allegations circulating on social media are false. I will not respond to them," he said.

Nisar's return follows his earlier announcement in September that he would come back to Pakistan amid increasing scrutiny regarding his alleged links with former ISI chief, Lt-Gen (retd) Faiz Hameed, and his role in events on May 9.
