Child injured in collision with wrong-way police vehicle in Karachi

A young boy was injured near Karachi’s Shafiq Mor area after being hit by a police vehicle from the Madadgar 15 unit, which was driving on the wrong side of the road.

Following the incident, angry bystanders surrounded the police mobile, questioning officers about driving against traffic.

Videos of the scene, filmed on mobile phones, quickly went viral on social media.

Police officials suspended the officers involved and have launched an investigation.

"We are covering the child's medical expenses," police authorities confirmed.

The boy, Salman, was taken to a private hospital for treatment.
