President Asif Ali Zardari has pledged to continue the fight against terrorism "until the last breath," vowing to eradicate the menace from its roots.

According to Express News, Zardari on Thursday arrived in Lahore, where he visited the family of Captain Muhammad Ali Qureshi, who was martyred in Balochistan on the night of August 25-26. The president offered condolences and paid tribute to the fallen soldier.

“During this difficult time, our sympathies are with the family of the martyr,” Zardari said, adding, "Many young men have sacrificed their lives in the fight against terrorism, and the entire nation deeply values their bravery."

He also drew a parallel with his late wife, Benazir Bhutto, who was killed in the fight against terrorism. “Shaheed Benazir Bhutto also fell victim to terrorism. We will continue our efforts to uproot this evil to the very end,” he said.

The president commended the patriotism and sacrifice of Captain Qureshi’s family, saying the nation would always remember the sacrifices of the martyrs and their families.

He prayed for the martyr’s soul and strength for his family to bear the loss.
