Controversial artist Nusi Quero dies in apparent suicide
Controversial artist and designer Nusi Quero, born Paul Giese-Garonzik, passed away at the age of 36 on Tuesday, September 3rd.
While an official statement from his agency has yet to be released, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s report lists ligature hanging as the cause of death, leading to speculation of suicide.
Originally from Florida, Quero's artistic journey began with playing in bands and doing graffiti, eventually transitioning into fashion and digital design. He became known for creating futuristic 3D-printed couture pieces, working with stars like Beyoncé and Grimes.
Quero's artistic contributions included designing Beyoncé’s 3D-printed bodysuit for her ‘Renaissance’ album cover and collaborating with Grimes on her full-back tattoo in 2021. His work, blending digital and physical realms, earned him a reputation for pushing boundaries in fashion.
