Software error affects work at PIA offices

The working of PIA offices was affected because of a technical error in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system software, which helped manage matters related to the employees, it was learnt on Wednesday.

According to sources, the PIA managed medical-related matters as well as approval of their leave through the ERP system. However, because of the system malfunction, the office work across the country, including Karachi, came to a standstill.

The PIA IT department was trying to fix the problem. "Efforts are afoot to restore the ERP system.
