A quiet drive along Seaview Road turned into a nightmare for actor Angeline Malik when her vehicle malfunctioned, leading to an abrupt collision with a rickshaw. What should have been a calm conversation after the fact accident quickly escalated into chaos as a crowd swarmed the scene, more intent on retribution than reason. With her car hemmed in by angry bystanders, Malik found herself at the mercy of a mob whose frustrations seemed to spill over from far more than just a fender bender.

As the situation deescalated, it became clear that the damages were minor, and no serious injuries had occurred. Yet, the situation took a darker turn when someone in the crowd seized Malik's phone. Captured in a viral video that rapidly circulated on social media, Malik's attempts to retrieve her phone while maintaining her composure became the focal point of public discussion. In the video, the 49-year-old actor is seen attempting to reason with the unruly crowd, explaining that she hadn't intended to flee but was merely trying to call for help and address the incident with dignity.

In the aftermath, actor Azhfar Rehman took to Instagram to voice his support for Malik and to shine a light on the broader issues at play. In his Instagram Story, he wrote, "Angeline Malik, thank God you're safe and the case is closed. But kudos for not losing your calm. Years of oppression and elitism are pushing our country to the brink. No one feels safe anymore, whether on a motorcycle or in an SUV." The actor furthered on to highlight how society has disregarded all rules, "Our streets have become lawless, with no resolution in sight. When did we become a society that tramples lives without remorse? When did we allow mobs to harass and humiliate a lone woman? Who is responsible for turning a once educated and well-mannered people into a community filled with bitterness and hate?" The actor ended his statement with a call to action, "Something needs to change—we need to change."

Model and actor Amna Ilyas also expressed her admiration for Malik's resilience, noting how the actor returned to work almost immediately after the harrowing experience. In a social media post, Ilyas praised Malik, saying, "This woman! After being in such a terrible situation, she is back to work. I salute your courage!"
