Demi Lovato has confirmed that she is currently working on new music, marking an exciting new chapter in her career.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the 'Heart Attack' singer shared, "I am writing a ton and recording and having fun with that," offering fans a glimpse into her creative process.
Lovato’s last full-length album, Holy Fvck, was released in 2023. Reflecting on the project, NME noted in a three-star review, “If Holy Fvck is a funeral for Lovato’s pop music, it also marks a new beginning, with an artist reborn.”
Alongside her music, Lovato is making strides in other areas of her career. She is currently working on her documentary Child Star, which explores the challenges of childhood fame.
The project, which marks her directorial debut, features conversations with fellow former child stars like Drew Barrymore and Christina Ricci. "With this project, I didn’t want this to be an exposé," Lovato stated, "I wanted it to be more of an informative experience."
In her interview, Lovato also reflected on her personal life, saying, “I feel like I am in a really great place in my life and I couldn’t be happier.” This new phase is defined by a focus on her well-being, her family, and her fiancée.
However, despite her current activity in the studio, Lovato remains uncertain about future tours, having previously expressed intentions to step back from performing after the Holy Fvck tour.
