Former domestic worker kidnaps boy for Rs30m ransom
A 16-year-old boy was kidnapped in Madina Town for a ransom of Rs30 million, leading to the arrest of two suspects, including a former domestic worker.
Police are continuing the search for additional accomplices involved in the crime.
According to the police report, Sana Tahir, the mother of the victim, Hafiz Ayan bin Tahir, stated that on Monday morning, her son, a ninth-grade student, was on his way to drop off his siblings at school when he was abducted.
Armed suspects intercepted him at gunpoint near Madina Town, forced him into their car, and took him to an undisclosed location.
The kidnappers later contacted the family using the victim's mobile phone, demanding a ransom of Rs. 30 million for his release.
Upon receiving the report, police officers swiftly responded and formed a task force led by CIA Lyallpur Town In-Charge Hasan Siddique Cheema, along with other CIA police officers, to trace the kidnappers through their phone calls.
The victim's mother maintained contact with the kidnappers, following their instructions to leave the ransom money at a designated location. However, as the kidnappers arrived to collect the money, undercover police officers apprehended two suspects, Salma Bibi and Muzamil.
