Former President Donald Trump recently shared a candid account of the moment his youngest son, Barron, learned about the assassination attempt on his father during a campaign rally. Speaking on the show 'Life, Liberty, and Levin', Trump, 78, described how the chaotic scene in Butler, Pennsylvania, unfolded on July 13, leaving his family in shock.

Trump recalled that his wife, Melania, was watching the rally on TV when the incident occurred. "Barron was outside having a tennis lesson," Trump said.

"He's a good tennis player, he's outside playing tennis, and someone ran up and said, 'Barron, Barron, your father's been shot.'"

Trump went on to describe his son as a "good son" and a "good student," recounting how Barron ran to his mother, asking, "Mom, what's going on?" Melania, who witnessed the event live, was in disbelief.

"She couldn't believe it," Trump said. "She was actually watching it live, can you imagine?"

The former president described how a bullet grazed his ear, leaving him bloodied as Secret Service agents rushed to his aid.

"And then I got up and let people know I was okay. Fight. Fight. Fight," Trump said, emphasizing the miraculous nature of his survival. He added that his eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., was also in disbelief, remarking, "From that distance, it's supposed to be, like, a sure thing."

The shooter, identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks, fired at Trump from a roof approximately 400 to 450 feet away.

Reflecting on the incident, Trump said, "It's God. I know people that have become believers in God because of it."

Melania Trump later broke her silence on the shooting with a heartfelt statement, expressing her gratitude to the Secret Service agents and law enforcement officials who protected her husband.

She acknowledged the impact of the event on her life and Barron's, describing the attack as a moment of profound change.

"When I watched that violent bullet strike my husband, Donald, I realized my life, and Barron's life, were on the brink of devastating change," she said.

Melania urged Americans to unite and move beyond political divisions, emphasizing the importance of love, compassion, and respect.

The attack on Trump has left a lasting impact on his family, with Barron, now 18, set to begin his first semester of college after graduating from Oxbridge Academy in Florida.

The youngest Trump made his political debut at a campaign rally in Florida on July 9, where he was introduced to the crowd by his father.

"Welcome to the scene," Trump said, as Barron stood and waved to the cheering audience.

Trump praised his son, joking that he might be "more popular than Don and Eric," and welcomed him to the political stage with a smile.
