FIA's response sought on bail plea

An additional district and sessions judge has issued notices to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), seeking their response to a post-arrest bail petition filed by anchorperson Orya Maqbool Jan.

Jan is accused of sharing social media posts related to the Mubarak Sani case, spreading religious hatred, and making disrespectful remarks against state institutions.

In his petition, Orya Maqbool Jan claimed that he has no connection to the case, arguing that the charges against him are fabricated and intended solely to humiliate and embarrass him.

He requested the court to grant him post-arrest bail.
