LAHORE:

On Monday, officers from the Punjab's Dolphin Force apprehended a four-member gang of men disguised in burqas who were allegedly involved in harassing women at a family park in Lahore's Gulberg.

The suspects, identified as Aitzaz, Noman, Ghulam Mustafa, and Faraz, were arrested following complaints from women in the park. According to a spokesperson for the Dolphin Force, the arrests were made during a routine patrol by the Dolphin Squad officials.

The unit was alerted by several women who reported inappropriate behaviour by a group of young men disguised in burqas. Responding swiftly, the Dolphin Force conducted surveillance in the park, which led to the successful detention of the suspects.

The individuals arrested were handed over to the Gulberg police for further legal action. The Dolphin Force has since encouraged women to report any similar incidents through the Women Safety App or by contacting the emergency helpline at 15.
