BTS members Jungkook, Jimin, and V have been officially promoted to Corporal in the South Korean military, a significant milestone in their ongoing service.

The news, confirmed by the Goondori app, comes as all three idols continue to serve their country following their enlistment in December 2023.

The app, popular among soldiers for tracking rank advancements, showed their promotion from Private First Class to Corporal.

Fans of BTS, known as ARMYs, took to social media to express their pride and excitement over the news.

One fan on X (formerly Twitter) shared, "Vminkook making us proud!!! :')," while another commented, "Oh, we’re so proud of our boys."

The fan reactions ranged from congratulatory messages to emotional tributes, with one user noting, "Maknae line got promoted to Corporal in the military! Congratulations Vminkook."

Another fan highlighted the timing of Jungkook’s promotion, which coincided with his birthday, saying, "What a coincidence and the news that makes us most proud... Jungkook was promoted and became a corporal on his birthday."

The promotion also signifies the trio's progress towards the highest rank of Sergeant, which they may attain before completing their military service.

Meanwhile, the other BTS members, including RM, who recently shared his own promotion to Corporal, and Jin, who was discharged in June, continue to fulfill their duties, with fans eagerly following every update.

The members of BTS are expected to reunite and return to the spotlight in 2025, once all have completed their military obligations.
