K.C Fox, an esteemed set decorator known for her work on notable films such as "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" and "Speed," has passed away at the age of 70. Fox died from pancreatic cancer on August 28, 2024, at her home in Los Angeles, surrounded by her family. Her death was confirmed by the Set Decorators Society of America (SDSA), an organization where she was a founding member and a significant contributor.

Throughout her distinguished 40-year career, Fox worked on a wide array of projects across film, television, and commercials. Her contributions were recognized with an Emmy nomination for the TV movie "Gypsy" and two Art Directors Guild Awards for her work on "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" and the series "Little Britain USA." Fox's extensive filmography also includes popular films such as "The 40-Year-Old Virgin," "Volcano," and "Forgetting Sarah Marshall."

Fox was not only celebrated for her artistic talents but also for her vibrant spirit and dedication to mentoring up-and-coming talents in the industry. She actively participated in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and held various leadership roles within the SDSA, greatly influencing the field of set decoration.

In honor of her legacy, donations can be made to several organizations including the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PANCAN), reflecting her impact both within and beyond the cinematic world.
