Rural sanitation scheme to begin on 16th

The 'Suthra Punjab' programme for cleanliness in rural areas will begin on September 16, said Local Government Minister Zeeshan Rafiq.

Under the plan, 10 sanitary workers and four loader rickshaws will carry out door-to-door collection of garbage and bring it to temporary garbage collection points established in villages.

From there the garbage will be lifted by trolleys.

The minister said this while addressing a meeting of district authorities.
