Teacher booked for harassing student with explicit photos online
Police in India have registered a case against a teacher accused of harassing a 16-year-old student by sending her explicit images on WhatsApp and Snapchat.
According to Indian media, the incident occurred in the state of Uttarakhand, where a private school teacher allegedly sent nude photos to a student in the tenth grade.
The student informed her parents, who then contacted a non-governmental organisation (NGO). The NGO helped file a case against the teacher on behalf of the parents.
"The teacher continued to send obscene messages and content despite my objections," the student said. "I was too scared to tell anyone."
Police have stated that a case has been registered and investigations have begun. Raids are being conducted to arrest the teacher.
However, no arrests have been made so far.
