Lana Del Rey bluntly responds to rumours of romance with alligator tour guide: “No”

Lana Del Rey has responded to ongoing speculation about her rumored relationship with Jeremy Dufrene, a Louisiana alligator tour guide. The 39-year-old singer-songwriter commented on an Instagram post by @thejustnlife, which speculated about her connection with Dufrene, following their recent public appearances together.

The rumors gained momentum after Del Rey was seen holding hands with Dufrene ahead of her performance at Leeds Festival last week. Fans also speculated that she hinted at the relationship in one of her songs. However, Del Rey seemed to dismiss the romance rumors with a simple "No" in response to the post.

The singer's brief reply has left fans divided, with some interpreting it as a denial of any romantic involvement, while others believe she was defending Dufrene in response to the post's final question: "Are these new details raising any red flags for you?"

The Instagram post in question included a photo of Del Rey and Dufrene together in front of a Louisiana swamp, mentioning that Dufrene had "recently separated from his wife."

Additionally, the post claimed that a person identifying as Dufrene's daughter had posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, about discovering her father's rumored relationship with Del Rey through social media. Del Rey addressed this claim directly, stating, "Also, that's not his daughter on Twitter."

While it remains unclear how long Del Rey and Dufrene have known each other, they appear to have been acquainted for some time. Del Rey shared a photo of herself on one of Dufrene's swamp tours back in March 2019 and reconnected with him earlier this year. Though Dufrene was not visible in a May 16 post from Del Rey, she tagged him and referred to him as "my guy."

Speculation about their relationship intensified after the pair were seen holding hands before Del Rey's Leeds Festival performance. They were also spotted shopping at Harrods in London and dining at a local pub.

Fans further fueled the rumors by noting a lyric change Del Rey made during a recent concert, where she altered a line in her song "Chemtrails Over the Country Club" to match Dufrene's March birthday.
