Adele has delivered some disappointing news to her fans, revealing that she will soon be stepping away from her music career for an indefinite period.

The 36-year-old "Easy On Me" singer made the announcement onstage in Germany during her recent residency performance.

On Saturday, August 31, while addressing the audience in Munich, Adele disclosed her plans to take a significant break from the music industry. The hiatus is set to begin immediately after she concludes her Las Vegas residency later this year.

“I have 10 shows to do, but after that I will not see you for an incredibly long time,” Adele stated. “And I will hold you dear in my heart.” This emotional message, which was captured in a TikTok video, marked the end of her German residency, where she performed 10 shows.

Adele's Las Vegas residency is scheduled to resume on October 25 and will run through November 23, after which the singer plans to take her extended leave.

This is not the first time Adele has hinted at taking a break from her career. Alongside her announcement, she has also teased what she plans to focus on during her time away from the spotlight.

Adele's announcement follows closely on the heels of some exciting personal news that she shared with her fans earlier this month, adding a bittersweet note to her recent performances.
