Robbery complaint filed for embezzlement

The mystery behind a reported road robbery in the Burki area was solved when it was revealed that the complainant himself had orchestrated the crime.

The suspect, identified as Sufyan, was arrested with the stolen amount of Rs217,000. According to the report Sufyan had reported the robbery in an attempt to embezzle the money, which he had received for a scrap deal.

The plan involved falsely reporting the robbery to the police hoping to divert suspicion and keep the cash for himself.

However, during interrogation, he eventually confessed to the scheme.
