Podcaster Joe Rogan took aim at Oprah Winfrey and former First Lady Michelle Obama during his recent episode, accusing them of hypocrisy in their speeches at the Democratic National Convention (DNC).
Winfrey, who condemned former President Trump while discussing the challenges of standing up to "life's bullies" and addressing issues like racism, sexism, and income inequality, drew Rogan's ire for her immense wealth.
Rogan highlighted the contradiction in her message, pointing out that Winfrey's net worth, estimated at $3 billion, starkly contrasts with her remarks on income inequality.
Rogan also called out Michelle Obama, who spoke about the values instilled in her by her parents, particularly their suspicion of those who "took more than they needed."
Rogan found it ironic that Obama, whose net worth is estimated at $70 million, delivered such a message.
He noted that she achieved significant wealth despite coming from a civil servant's background, which he found "insane."
Rogan wasn't alone in his criticism.
Many took to social media to echo his sentiments, questioning the sincerity of Winfrey and Obama's speeches given their financial status. Conservative radio host Dana Loesch and Trump's campaign account both pointed out the dissonance between the messages conveyed at the DNC and the speakers' personal wealth.
