Nikki Garcia, the former 'Total Bellas' star, has requested privacy after her husband, 'Dancing With the Stars' pro Artem Chigvintsev, was arrested on domestic violence charges in Napa County, California, on Thursday, August 29.

According to online jail records, Chigvintsev was taken into custody and later released on a $25,000 bail. The arrest was made under section 273.5(a) of the California Penal Code, relating to injuries inflicted on a spouse, cohabitant, or fellow parent. The circumstances leading to the arrest remain undisclosed.

The news comes just days after the couple celebrated their second wedding anniversary. Both Chigvintsev and Garcia shared heartfelt tributes to each other on social media earlier in the week.

A representative for Garcia released a statement on Friday, August 30, stating: "This is a private matter, and Nikki asks for privacy for her and her family at this time.”
