However, Franklin's credibility has been questioned due to past inaccuracies in reporting. Former NHL referee Tim Peel also commented on X, saying, "Morgan unfortunately this is true. Jonny and his brother were killed by a drunk driver tonight," but he did not provide verifiable sources.
