Barry Keoghan has revealed that “Bed Chem” is his favourite track from Sabrina Carpenter’s newly released album Short n’ Sweet.

On August 29, the Saltburn actor shared his admiration for the song on Instagram, posting on his Stories, “[‘Bed Chem’ is] my fave just sayin m’darlin @sabrinacarpenter.”

Fans have been quick to speculate that the lyrics of “Bed Chem” might be about Keoghan, especially since the song includes lines that seem to describe him.

The lyrics mention a “cute boy with the white jacket and the thick accent” and a “cute guy with the wide, blue eyes,” leading many to connect these descriptions to Keoghan.

The Irish actor was first linked to Carpenter after they were seen together at Givenchy's Spring-Summer 2024 show in September 2023, where Keoghan was notably wearing a white jacket. His distinct accent and blue eyes further support fans' theories that he might be the inspiration behind the song.

The song’s narrative continues with Carpenter reflecting on the intense chemistry she imagines sharing with this person, hinting at a deep connection between the two.

The speculation around the song’s lyrics has only intensified amid rumours that Carpenter and Keoghan’s relationship may be "on and off," as reported by a source earlier in August.

Despite the swirling rumours, Keoghan’s public support for “Bed Chem” suggests that their relationship remains significant, at least in a creative or personal context. His choice to highlight this particular track indicates that, regardless of their current status, the connection between them has left a lasting impression.

Short n’ Sweet has garnered widespread attention, with “Bed Chem” emerging as one of the album’s standout tracks, largely due to the intrigue surrounding its possible inspiration.
