Three young Kashmiris were killed by Indian forces during a military operation on the night of August 28-29 in the general area Machhal, Kupwara district of Indian-Illegally Occupied Kashmir (IIOJK).

According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian troops sealed off entry and exit points in the area, launching a door-to-door search operation.

Reports indicate that the soldiers violated the sanctity of homes, harassed women, and subjected the elderly and children to violence, before arresting several young men.

During the operation, Indian forces reportedly opened fire on a house, killing three unarmed Kashmiri students.

The local pro-India administration later claimed the youths were militants, alleging they had fired on Indian troops during the raid.

The bodies of the three young men were handed over to the police, but their families are still struggling to retrieve them.

The search operation was ongoing at the time of the latest reports.
