Barry Keoghan is set to join the cast of the upcoming 'Peaky Blinders' movie at Netflix, starring alongside Cillian Murphy and Rebecca Ferguson. The news, confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter, marks Keoghan's latest high-profile role following his award-winning performances in 'Saltburn' and 'The Banshees of Inisherin.'

The film, described as a continuation of the popular series, will feature Murphy reprising his role as Thomas Shelby, the war hero-turned-gangster who climbs the ranks of Birmingham's criminal underworld in the early 1900s. Steven Knight, the creator of the series, penned the script and expressed his excitement for the project, stating, "I’m genuinely thrilled that this movie is about to happen. It will be an explosive chapter in the Peaky Blinders story."

Tom Harper, who directed episodes in the first season, will direct the film. Reflecting on his return to the series, Harper said, "Peaky has always been a story about family — and so it’s incredibly exciting to be reuniting with Steve and Cillian to bring the movie to audiences across the world on Netflix."

Cillian Murphy also shared his enthusiasm for revisiting the character of Tommy Shelby, saying, "It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn’t finished with me... It is very gratifying to be re-collaborating with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of Peaky Blinders."

The 'Peaky Blinders' movie promises to deliver another intense and gripping chapter in the saga, with details of the plot still under wraps.
