Andrew Scott and Greta Lee have signed on to star in My Notes on Mars, a new sci-fi romance film directed by acclaimed Hungarian filmmaker Lili Horvát. This project marks Horvát's first English-language feature and is set to explore complex themes of love and human psychology.

The film's plot centres on Margot, portrayed by Lee, a brilliant scientist who mysteriously disappears while on a hike with her husband Sam, played by Scott, and their friends. Weeks later, Margot inexplicably reappears at her own memorial service, but she is not the same person she was before the incident. The story then delves into Sam's hope for a second chance to revive their troubled marriage, despite the drastic changes in his wife.

Lili Horvát describes the movie as "a story about the labyrinthine human psyche, about the ever-changing faces of love." She further elaborates that the film explores the challenges of rekindling a relationship, stating, "To start over a marriage, to rediscover the other, to fall in love again—our story is about the gruelling realisation of this impossible desire".

My Notes on Mars is slated to begin filming next spring, with locations set in Budapest and Vienna. This film adds to the growing list of exciting projects for both Scott and Lee. Scott is also set to appear in the upcoming Knives Out sequel Wake Up Dead Man.
