Travis Scott celebrates 'Days Before Rodeo' 10th anniversary with 'Drugs You Should Try It' video

Travis Scott knows how to turn any occasion into a full-blown event, and the 10th anniversary of his seminal 2014 mixtape Days Before Rodeo was no exception. 

Last week, Scott finally added the mixtape to streaming platforms, a move that excited fans and rap aficionados who consider the project to be a cornerstone of his early career. 

Days Before Rodeo, often hailed as Scott’s best work, solidified him as a rising star in the music industry and set the stage for his future successes.

To celebrate the “official release” of the mixtape on DSPs, Scott hosted a one-night-only concert in Atlanta, a fitting location given the city’s influence on the project. The tape features guest appearances from Atlanta’s own T.I., Young Thug, Migos (RIP Takeoff), PeeWee LongWay, Rich Homie Quan, and production from local legends like Metro Boomin and FKI 1st.

In addition to the concert, Scott surprised fans with five bonus tracks from that era—previously leaked songs that superfans have long cherished but never had in high-quality, legal format. 

To cap off the celebration, Scott also launched a limited-edition merch bundle, featuring designs that echo the aesthetic of the Days Before Rodeo era.

Continuing the anniversary festivities, Scott dropped a new music video for “Drugs You Should Try It,” a track that many consider to be his best song. 

The moody, down-tempo track, produced by FKI 1st, showcases Scott’s ability to blend tender emotion with his signature distorted vocals, creating a sound that remains fresh and unique even a decade later.

The video captures the song’s introspective vibe with black-and-white shots, a recreation of the Days Before Rodeo cover art, and atmospheric scenes featuring a wolf and femme fatale models. 

The visual feels like a scene from Blade, adding to its cool, cinematic quality.
