Father of two shot dead at home in Karachi by unknown gunmen
Unknown gunmen broke into a house in the Sultanaabad area on Wednesday, shooting dead a father of two before fleeing the scene, according to police.
The incident occurred early in the morning in the Docks police precinct at house number D/430 in New Haji Camp, Makora Lane.
The victim, identified as 45-year-old Shamroz Khan, was shot dead inside his home. His body was transferred to Civil Hospital for legal formalities.
Shamroz Khan, originally from Kohat district in Kurrak, was a security guard by profession but had been staying home due to illness, said SHO Nafees ur Rehman.
The shooting took place around 4:30am, in front of the victim's wife, when the gunmen entered the house and shot him in the head before escaping.
Police suspect the motive behind the killing could be personal enmity. Evidence has been collected, and an investigation into the incident is underway.

As soon as informed, police rushed to the scene and called the Crime Scene Unit to collect evidence.
The victim's body was shifted to JPMC for legal formalities, where he was identified as 42-year-old Sohail Danish, son of Haroon Rasheed.
Last week, two female students were killed while five others and a driver suffered multiple wounds after unknown assailants opened indiscriminate fire on a school van in Dheri Kot village close to Kala Chitta Pahar, witnesses and police said.
The brutal shooting took place in the limits of Model Police limits owing to a personal enmity involving the van driver. The Punjab Chief Minister took strict notice of the incident and sought a report from the police authorities.
Last month on July 13, a man was killed and a passerby woman injured in a shooting near Cattle Colony Mor in Shah Latif Town on Friday.
The deceased, identified as Malik Sardar Abbas, 45, and the injured woman named Sakina, 35, wife of Muhammad Javed, were shifted to JPMC.
As per Malik Saleem, SHO Shah Latif Town police station, preliminary investigations suggest that Malik Sardar Abbas was allegedly killed by his father-in-law, Basharat, along with an accomplice.
