Tom Cruise, known for his major roles in Hollywood, is financing his daughter Suri's education at Carnegie Mellon University, despite his limited involvement in her day-to-day life. According to reports from the Daily Mail, Cruise is responsible for the $84,000 annual tuition and living costs. This support comes despite his estrangement from Suri, which has been widely reported since his 2012 divorce from Katie Holmes.

Katie Holmes, who has primarily raised Suri in Manhattan following the divorce, was present to help Suri move into her dorm at the Pittsburgh university. Holmes plans to return for the university’s family weekend, an event Cruise is not expected to attend. His absence continues a pattern of detachment from Suri's major life events, including her recent high school graduation, where Suri chose to use her mother's middle name rather than Cruise’s surname.

Cruise's estrangement from Suri has been a subject of media scrutiny since he sued a publication for claiming he had abandoned her post-divorce, a claim he fervently denied. Despite his physical absence, Cruise has financially supported Suri, covering not only tuition but also medical, dental, and extracurricular costs. A friend of Cruise’s emphasized his commitment to fulfilling his financial responsibilities to his daughter.

This ongoing financial support coincides with Cruise’s high-profile participation in events such as the 2024 Paris Olympics and major film productions, highlighting the stark contrast between his public persona and private family engagements.
