Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, has recently ventured into horse ownership, acquiring a significant stake in a racehorse aptly named Swift Delivery. This development was officially announced by Team Valor International, a Florida-based horse-racing stable, which also named Gary Barber, CEO of Spyglass Entertainment, and the Zoldan family of Phantom Fireworks as co-owners.

The 3-year-old gelding's name has sparked interest due to its resemblance to the name of Kelce’s girlfriend, pop star Taylor Swift, although it remains unclear if the naming was intended as a tribute. Swift Delivery has already shown promise by winning its first start in an allowance race at Woodbine Racetrack in June.

Kelce’s investment comes after his recent signing of a lucrative $100 million podcast deal with his brother, which might explain his foray into the expensive sport of horse racing. His interest in horse racing was piqued earlier this year following his attendance at the Kentucky Derby, where he was noted for his stylish appearance.

Despite their busy schedules, Kelce and Swift have maintained a strong relationship. They have been dating for over a year and continue to make headlines for their public appearances and mutual support. Swift, who was touring Europe during the Kentucky Derby, has included tributes to Kelce in her performances, highlighting the couple's close connection.

This move into horse racing by Kelce adds another layer to his public persona, merging the worlds of sports, entertainment, and now, equestrian pursuits.
