Barry Keoghan has seemingly addressed speculation about his relationship with Sabrina Carpenter, responding to rumours that the couple had parted ways.

The rumours began circulating on August 16 when the celebrity gossip platform DeuxMoi shared an anonymous tip suggesting the pair had broken up. The message, posted on DeuxMoi's Instagram account, stated simply: "Sabrina and Barry broke up."

Adding fuel to the fire, The Sun reported that the couple had indeed split, citing alleged issues related to Keoghan's partying lifestyle.

According to a source quoted by the publication, "Barry acts like an idiot when he is drunk, and Sabrina was getting increasingly frustrated." The source further claimed, "He has always been a party animal and Sabrina was fed up with his antics. She is soaring in the charts and is putting herself first as she gears up for her tour next month."

Despite these reports, Keoghan appeared to dismiss the split rumours on Wednesday morning through his Instagram activity. The Irish actor commented on a photo featuring a pair of Bratz dolls, mimicking a scene from Sabrina's latest music video for her song Taste, in which she co-stars with Jenna Ortega.

Keoghan's playful comment, "Can I have one," under the post, has been interpreted by fans as a subtle nod to his relationship with the American singer.

Earlier in August, Sabrina spoke highly of Keoghan during an interview with The Guardian, reflecting on their collaboration in her Please, Please, Please music video.

She described it as "One of the best experiences I’ve ever had, I’m very honoured, and I got to work with such a great actor!" In a light-hearted moment, Sabrina also joked about her own "coy diplomacy," repeating in a nasal tone, "Such a great actor!"

While Sabrina acknowledged the challenges of having her personal life in the public eye, she expressed a desire to remain authentic in her music, stating, "I want to be honest – I want to just write about what’s happening in my life as a 25-year-old girl. But it comes with the territory and I just have to be like…OK."
