Lil Baby arrested for illegal weapon possession

Rapper Lil Baby, whose real name is Dominique Jones, was arrested Monday night in Las Vegas for possessing an illegal weapon. 

According to TMZ, the arrest occurred after he was found carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, which is classified as a felony. Lil Baby was taken to the Clark County Detention Center and held on $5,000 bail. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police have not yet provided further details about the incident.

Lil Baby’s legal team, represented by attorneys Drew Findling and David Chesnoff, stated that Jones holds a valid Georgia Carrying a Concealed Weapon (CCW) Permit. They are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding his arrest in Las Vegas.

This is not Lil Baby’s first encounter with the law. In 2019, he was arrested in Atlanta for failure to signal, eluding police, and reckless driving. Two years later, he faced legal issues in Paris, France, when he was caught with marijuana in a vehicle.
