A recently surfaced 1994 interrogation video of Kenneth 'Kazoo' Petty, husband of rapper Nicki Minaj, has sparked renewed controversy by highlighting his connection to the rape of Jennifer Hough.

The video, marked by Conciouz TV, features Petty being questioned with his father present. During the interrogation, Petty asserted that he merely passed by Hough on the morning of the incident. However, court documents from the time contradict his claims, as a pair of boxers he provided to the police tested positive for spermatozoa.

Jennifer Hough, who accused Petty of raping her when they were both 16, immediately reported the assault and preserved vital evidence. Despite this, skepticism about her story persists, especially after Petty’s marriage to Nicki Minaj. Both Petty and Minaj have faced criticism, with accusations that Minaj misled her fans about her husband’s past and supported him despite knowing about the sexual assault.

Petty’s criminal past has drawn significant attention, particularly since his relationship with Minaj became public. In 1995, Petty pleaded guilty to attempted rape in connection with the 1994 incident involving Hough, resulting in a prison sentence of approximately four years. In 2020, Petty was arrested for failing to register as a sex offender in California, a requirement from his 1994 conviction. This development has further intensified the scrutiny on the couple's relationship and Minaj’s defense of her husband.

In 2021, Hough filed a lawsuit against Petty for battery and assault. Recently, she submitted new evidence from the original 1994 case, including injury photographs and police reports confirming spermatozoa on Hough’s underwear and Petty’s clothing.

Hough has also filed a motion urging the judge to apply more pressure on Petty to attend a deposition in person. This request followed an incident on July 9, 2024, where Hough’s lawyer ended her deposition early, citing that the line of questioning had become excessively harassing.

The court allowed Hough to amend her complaint to include the video, as it was deemed relevant and provided additional context to the allegations. Despite the accumulating evidence, Petty has yet to resolve the lawsuit, which also accuses him of attempting to intimidate and bribe Hough into retracting her claims.
