'Not a film I’d recommend to anyone': Farhan Akhtar disses Ranbir Kapoor’s 'Animal'
Bollywood actor and filmmaker Farhan Akhtar has candidly expressed his disinterest in Ranbir Kapoor’s film Animal, stating he would not recommend the movie to anyone.
In a recent interview, Akhtar revealed that the film failed to leave an impact on him. "If I had been offered to produce Animal, I would have declined. The problem lies with Ranbir Kapoor’s character in the film," he remarked.
Akhtar further elaborated that Animal is not a film he would encourage others to watch. "It’s not a film that touched me or inspired me. The lead character was deeply entangled in issues that didn’t resonate with me," he added.
However, Farhan Akhtar also emphasized that he respects creative freedom. "I would never tell a writer, producer, or anyone else not to make a film. If someone were to tell me not to create a particular film, I would simply ask, ‘Who are you to stop me?’ As long as the law and the constitution permit me, I am free to create whatever film I choose, and no one can prevent that."
