Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us" isn't just making waves on the charts—it's breaking records.

The track debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 on May 18, 2024, amassing 70.9 million streams, five million radio airplay impressions, and selling 15,000 copies in its first week. This marked the highest first-week streaming numbers for a hip-hop song since Billboard adjusted its metrics in 2020, making "Not Like Us" Lamar's fourth number-one single and his first solo debut to top the chart. It also became the first rap song in history to reach number one with a shortened five-day tracking week.

After the release of its music video, "Not Like Us" reclaimed the top spot on the Hot 100 on July 20, 2024, with 53.8 million streams, 40 million radio airplay impressions, and 8,000 copies sold, becoming Lamar's longest-running solo chart-topper, surpassing "Humble." As predicted by Joe Budden and fans alike, the track has also been adopted by two Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) for their 2024-2025 fall sports season performances.

In a major milestone, the Mustard-produced track recently surpassed 2Pac's "Hit 'Em Up" to become the most-streamed diss track in Spotify history. Released on May 4, 2024, "Not Like Us" initially peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and, after fluctuating between the second and sixth spots, returned to the top following an Independence Day video release. As of August 24, 2024, the track sits at number three on the Billboard Hot 100.
