'Faith healer' caught for assaulting woman

The police produced a faith healer or amil in the court of a civil judge and judicial magistrate on charges of assault on a woman who had come to him for spiritual treatment.

The accused was arrested on charges of sexual assault on a woman under the pretext of performing mystical act as a remedy for her worries and anxieties.

The court granted a two-day physical remand and handed over the accused to the police.

According to the police, Qasim Kaloi had attempted to sexually abuse Saima, wife of Ali Raza Kaloi, under the guise of giving her a taweez. The police had registered a case against him and arrested him from his home and produced before the court.

The court has ordered the police to conduct the accused's medical examination, form a Joint Investigation Team (JIT), complete the investigation, and submit the report to the court.

Additionally, police sources have revealed that numerous videos of women were found on the accused's personal mobile phone, which have gone viral on social media.

Meanwhile, the affected family has demanded that the cruel accused be given the death penalty to save innocent females.

According to SHO Niaz Kalhoro, the affected woman will receive justice after a transparent investigation. Sources mentioned that Qasim used to blackmail women, who along with his associates, by making their videos.

The police are preparing a list of Qasim's close friends for further investigation.
