CM hails online building approval facility

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has appreciated the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on starting online approval of residential building plans.

"Citizens can get their residential building plans approved from the LDA online from the comfort of their homes," she said.

The applications may be submitted through the LDA mobile app or website. She added, "The citizens will not have to visit the LDA office and wait in queues to get their residential building plans approved," she said.

The request for design approval, upload, processing and payment challan will all be processed online.

The correction in case of objection will also be uploaded and the approved design may be downloaded."

Then chief minister said digital reforms in the LDA were going ahead at a fast pace.

She added, "Institutions across Punjab are being digitised on modern lines." She underscored, "IT-based reforms will free citizens from agent mafia and corruption."

She said the Dastak pilot project for providing services at the doorsteps of citizens was showing excellent results and it scope would be gradually expanded.
